Capistrano Builders was founded by my dad, Francis Capistrant, in 1961. Over the next decade I worked on his crews picking up scrap, moving lumber from one place to another, and rolling up the chords at the end of the day. Little did I know I was learning a good work ethic and picking up a few carpenter skills along the way.
After my dad’s passing in 1972 I continued to learn from my brother, Den. For a time he was a building contractor and cabinet maker. I’m so thankful he is still just a phone call away when I need advice.
In 2001 I registered Capistrano Builders in my name. Since then my son, Paul and I along with other family members have done many projects including; additions, garages, decks, basements, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Since my retirement last June from my full time job at Metro Transit I’ve focused primarily on the custom cabinets and furniture in my shop. My wife, Mary, and I live in Woodbury Minnesota and worship at Hope Church Oakdale.
